The amount of women’s soeccr coverage on TV is disappointing, but it does exist. The channel that seems to show the most women’s soeccr is Fox Soccer Channel, which has mainly men’s games but some women’s games too (U.S. women’s national team and top college games). It sucks that there isn’t more coverage of women’s sports but at least it gets more than it used to.References :
TV is drevin by ad money. Which is in turn drevin by how many viewers watch the TV program. Thus, TV shows are chosen for popular appeal rather than quality.Solutions are scarce as it would require the restructuring of TV as we know it. But it is possible to watch many womens’ events online. As far as enjoyment, this is the hardest to fix. Men are genetically and physically superior to women athletically (not a sexist statement, scientific). Therefore, all their sports will b slower, less powerful and less exciting for the avg. viewr.References :
I just want to say that I am in this argument for the long run. My elsedt daughter would be a freshman at West High School now, but we choose to do online schooling with her this year through IQ Academy because West could not meet our needs of deep learning with a flexible schedule. She is studying to be a professional dancer. Almost everyday after 7th and 8th grade she would come home and sob (and started saying how bad and horrible she was) because she couldn’t stand the endless, pointless busy work and hours of homework. She wanted wants to learn but she is a deep thinker, and it won’t do to just give her a project to see if she can do a project. It has to be something that makes a point or ties in with future understanding of a topic. She will not just whip something out. Everything is treated with great seriousness and detail. She is smart enough to identify what matters about education, and can talk to you about it at an adult level. She won’t be under estimated. This year is very successful for her learning-wise. She is doing some really deep thinking, and she loves getting up in the morning and going to school. I never have to tell her to get something done, or remind her something is due. She sings while she works. I never have to calm her for hours while she cries, tell her to breathe, or console her that she is not a horrible person for wanting to understand what she is learning rather than just memorize to pass a test. This is something that all schools should offer learning at each individual’s ability level, and that includes the advanced levels as well as not. My second child is only in sixth grade, but I see it coming for her too. Can I please send her to public school and expect she can get an education suitable to her abilities?
